Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her professional title Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first album of studio work 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox has released her music online since 2012 following the debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, Ari Lennox continued to post her songs online, including her self-released single Bound. The 21st of July, 2015 was the day Omen featured her on his album Elephant Eyes in the song Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's remark. Later in the season, the music was played throughout Dreamville. It was announced on December 8, that she was signed to Dreamville Records. Backseat, a track she performed together with Cozz for her Revenge of the Dreamers II collaboration album. The singer released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018 she guest-starred in two of her songs with label-mates EarthGang for Nothing but the Best. And Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox dropped her first track Whipped Cream from Shea Butter Baby on July 16. A music clip was released, followed by a music video September. Then on the 9th of November she dropped two additional singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then, in November 2013, she dropped No One, and Pedigree. Then she appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album the same name. The track was launched with a music video posted on YouTube February 20, 2019 has been watched over 3 million times within the first seven days. In December of 2018, she was part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
